Due to the Christmas holiday, there will be no garbage or recycling collection on Tuesday, December 25, 2018. There will be normal garbage collection only on Friday, December 28, 2018, and there will be normal garbage and recycling collection on News Years Day, Tuesday, January 1, 2019.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 20, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Lakehouse Parking Lot, at 10000 Towne Lake Parkway, Cypress, Texas 77433.
All residents are welcome to attend. A copy of the invitation also will be included in an upcoming utility bill.
Due to the inclement weather on Tuesday, January 16th, Harris County MUD No. 501’s garbage and recycling provider, Residential Recycling, was unable to collect garbage or recycling that day. Residential Recycling has resumed normal garbage collection in the District today, Friday, January 19th. Residential Recycling will resume recycling collection in the District on the next regularly scheduled collection date, Tuesday, January 23rd.
Harris County MUD 501’s garbage and recycling provider, Residential Recycling and Refuse of Texas, has stated that because of continued recovery efforts after the Harvey event, there will be garbage collection only (no recycling collection) tomorrow, September 5th. Please place your household garbage at your normal collection location by 7 a.m. as usual.
Residential Recycling is continuing to prioritize household garbage collection, but if time and equipment allow, they may begin collecting some minor storm debris from the curb tomorrow. Unfortunately, because of the large backlog from the Harvey storm event and the limited availability of equipment during their recovery, Residential Recycling was not able to collect garbage in Harris County MUD 501 yesterday as anticipated. Residential Recycling has stated they plan to begin garbage collection only (no recycling) this afternoon, and they expect to continue working through the weekend until household garbage collection in the District is complete. As previously mentioned, Residential Recycling is prioritizing collection of household waste and may not collect storm debris at this time. Please continue to monitor the District’s website for additional information on garbage and recycling collection.
Residential Recycling has confirmed they will provide garbage collection only (no recycling) tomorrow, September 1st in Harris County MUD 501. They are prioritizing household garbage collection, so storm debris may not be collected tomorrow.
Because they are still catching up from having to suspend operations during the Harvey storm and flood event, Residential Recycling may not be able to begin garbage collection in the District until the afternoon. They will begin collection as soon as possible, so please place your garbage in the normal garage door collection location by 7 a.m. as usual.
Please be advised garbage collection services may last later into the evening than usual. The District appreciates your patience and understanding as we begin to recover from this unprecedented storm event.
Residential Recycling and Refuse of Texas, Harris County MUD 501’s garbage and recycling provider, experienced significant flooding at their facility during the Harvey storm event. In order to ensure it is safe for them to resume garbage collection services, they are having mechanics inspect all of their equipment today. Residential Recycling has stated they will use their best efforts to collect garbage only (not recycling) in the District tomorrow, Friday, September 1st. Please be advised that once they resume services, they will prioritize collection of household trash in the District first, and then will begin to collect storm debris as possible.
The District will post an additional update on its website later today when we receive confirmation regarding whether garbage collection services in the District will resume tomorrow. Please continue to monitor the District’s website for additional information.
Due to the ongoing flooding and hazardous conditions from tropical storm Harvey, Residential Recycling and Refuse of Texas will NOT be providing garbage or recycling collection on Tuesday, August 29th.
